Haryana Budget 2016-17 Highlights, Hindi, English, Full in Pdf: Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu tabled the Haryana Budget for 2016-17 in Haryana Assembly in Chandigarh. He promised to compelete the controversial Sutlej-Yamuna Link Canal.
Haryana Budget 2016-17 Highlights:
- Total budget size pegged at Rs 88,781 crore.
- Total revenue receipt is pegged at Rs 62,955.53 crore. TRR as ratio to GSDP is projected at 10.7 per cent in 2016-17. Of this, tax revenue is Rs 46,388 crore and non-tax revenue Rs 16,567 crore.
- Fiscal deficit to be within stipulated 3 per cent of GSDP as recommended by 14th Finance Commission
- No new taxes.
- Budget size increased by 28.4 per cent from last year's Rs 69,140 crore.
- Amnesty in tax, penalty and other dues for dealers who suffered losses in the violence witnessed during protests for reservation by Jats.
- Education, health, power, welfare of SC and public health engineering get major chunk of allocation.
- Rs 13,494 crore allocated for Agriculture sector.
- Rs 2621 Crore sanctioned for Irrigation Sector.
- Rs 221 crore allocated for Animal Husbandry department.
- Rs 50 crore allocated for National Horticulture Mission.
- Rs 188 Crore for Food and Civil Supplies Department.
- International Airport for Hisar proposed.
- Education, health, power, welfare of SC and public health engineering get major chunk of allocation.
- To hike salaries of employees after recommendations of the seventh pay commission are tabled.
- Per capita income in the state goes up.
- Effort to provide round the clock power.
- 600 buses to be added Haryana Roadways fleet.
- Tax reduced on vehicles.
- To set up a debt and cash management cell in finance department for effective monitoring and management of debt and cash flow.
- Several new schemes to be implemented in the Golden Jubilee year of Haryana.
