Haryana hosted Korea Tourism Festival 2017

The 2-day Korea Tourism festival 2017 was held in Gurugram, Haryana on November 25 to showcase famous South Korean tourist destinations, delicacies, art, culture and the country’s heritage. The festival displayed food counters (managed by Korea Agro Fisheries and Food Trade Cooperation) to give a taste of the local Korean flavours to serve Indian taste buds besides featuring experiential attractions like face mask painting, Hangeul calligraphy and video gallery exhibiting Korean history & cultural assets. 

The fest was inaugurated by Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) Executive Vice President Min Hong Min along with Suman Billa, the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism.

International Gita Mahotsav 2017, Kurukshetra

International Gita Mahotsav 2017 will be inaugurated by President of India Ram Nath Kovind in Kurukshetra, Haryana on November 25, 2017. The President will also participate in Gita Yajna and Gita Poojan ceremonies at Brahma Sarovar. He will also lay the foundation stone of the Gita Research Centre at Gita Gyan Sansthanam. 

The mahotsav, which will conclude on December 3, will have Mauritius as partner country and Uttar Pradesh as partner state. Approx 25-30 lakh people are likely to participate in this Mahotsav.

हरियाणा की मानुषी छिल्लर बनी मिस वर्ल्ड 2017

भारत की मानुषी छिल्लर ने मिस वर्ल्ड 2017 का ख़िताब जीता है। चीन में 18 नवंबर को मिस वर्ल्ड 2017 का ग्रैंड फिनाले आयोजित किया, इसमें 118 प्रतिभागी शामिल थे। 20 साल की मानुषी हरियाणा से हैं। इस प्रतियोगिता में दूसरे स्थान पर रही हैं मिस मेक्सिको और तीसरे नंबर पर रही हैं मिस इंग्लैंड। हरियाणा की मनुषि चिल्लर ने फेमिना मिस इंडिया 2017 एवं मिस फोटोजेनिक अवॉर्ड भी जीता था।

डॉक्टर पैरेंट्स के घर की बेटी मनुषी ने दिल्ली के सेंट थॉमस स्कूल और सोनीपत के भगत फूल सिंह गवर्नमेंट मेडिकल कॉलेज फॉर वूमेन से पढ़ाई की है। भारत से 17 वर्ष बाद किसी मिस वर्ल्ड का ख़िताब मिला है, इससे पहले ऐश्वर्या राय, प्रियंका चोपड़ा से लेकर डियाना हेडन तक अब तक छह भारतीय सुंदरियों को मिस वर्ल्ड का खिताब मिल चुका है।

Haryana signs pacts worth over Rs 2000 cr at World Food India 2017

Haryana government has signed initial pacts worth Rs. 2,069 crore with 44 agro-based and food processing enterprises and establishments that will provide employment to 5,012 persons. The MoUs were signed in the presence of State Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar at the Haryana Session on the second day of the three-day World Food India organised in the national capital.

Assuring the investors of all possible assistance, the Chief Minister said the state government would soon implement the Agri-Business and Food Processing Policy, 2017. He said the state government was working at different levels to double the income of farmers by making agriculture profitable.
